Bruges 2000 Gallery 2
Saturday arrived, and was....grey. Everyone was please to discover that they were still intact from the previous night, and were ready bt 10:30 for the tour of the Straffe Hendrik brewery; about 3 minutes down the road from our hotel :-)
The tour started in the working section of the brewery, where a control panel from Thunderbirds contolled all the brewing;
The tour then took us round the old section of the brewery, which is now a museum, and up onto the roof for a view of Bruges;
And then we had our free samples. Then some not free samples, then a few more, then some lunch, then a few more samples;
After that, the girls went back to the hotel and then out for some shopping, and the lads went for a drink in the 't Zand square (well, the sun had come out and we were in the mood by then !)
Unfortunately, the girls were ready a long time before the boys, so when we got back to the hotel at ten minutes to seven (the meal was at seven o'clock back at the conference centre at Sint Jan), we were in the dog house ! (oops)
